Little Local - April 3

Summer camps in Victoria, urban garden shop, and Kiddovate!

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom, spring break is behind us, and it's officially summer camp planning season. If you haven’t booked your camps yet, now’s the time—some big registration dates are days away. We’re also getting a head start in the garden, grabbing veggie starts from Mason Street Farms and digging in with the kids. And don’t miss Kidovate this weekend—a fun youth entrepreneurship market taking place downtown!

🌱 Peas, please!
📍 Mason Street Farms | Open for the season Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm
With the weather warming up, we’ve planted our first seeds of the season—snap peas, radishes, and carrots. I also love getting a head start by visiting Mason Street Farms in the city to pick up veggie starters. While it’s still a bit early for some plants, they’ve got a great selection of greens, peas, and even fruit shrubs and trees. It’s a fun little adventure with the kids—letting them choose a few veggies and help plant them in the garden. I love seeing how much they snack on straight from the garden! [Website]

🚀 lnspiring entrepreneurship
📍 The Bay Centre | Saturday, April 5th 10am - 4pm
As an entrepreneur, events like Kidovate are exciting for me to bring my kids to. This youth entrepreneurship market showcases the creativity and hustle of over 200 local youth vendors. I’m looking forward to checking out the event on Saturday with my kids! [Website]
